Originally hailing from Virginia, Rachel Garnet is a writer whose imagination has been running wild ever since she was a little girl. Her first experience breathing life into a story was thanks to a writing assignment in the second grade, and after going 10 pages over the required amount, Rachel found herself in love with creating new worlds and stories.
Writing was always a huge part of Rachel’s life, and in her teen years, she explored the many ways one could tell a story: novels, plays, musicals, web series and more. Rachel was actively creating new work through high school.
After graduating high school at 16 years old, Rachel, spent three years performing across the US, including 3 national tours. She eventually moved to Vancouver, Canada, to attend Vancouver Film School, to study Writing for Film and Television.
While in Vancouver, Rachel was active in the theater community, and was reminded of her passion for her first love: Musical Theater. Upon graduating from the Vancouver Film School, Rachel decided to dedicate her life to writing for the stage. Rachel started the Ticking Clock Theatre, along with her sister, and currently serves as Artistic Director. Most recent performed works include Starcossed (FringeNYC 2018) and shadowplay: an immersive experience (Access Theater November 28-December 16)
